Jean Pierre Rassam (1941- 1985) was a French film producer who was born in Lebanon and raised in France. He started his career in the film industry as an assistant director and founded a production company called Film Par Film in 1975, which produced several successful films. Rassam was famously known for producing the film "Betty Blue," which received nominations for the Best Foreign Language Film and the Best Actress categories at the Academy Awards.
Rassam was married to the actress, writer, and director Carole Bouquet, and the couple had a son together named Dimitri. Tragically, Rassam died of a heart attack at the age of 44, leaving behind a legacy of producing nearly 20 films in his career.
